We're so excited for Kevin & Natalie (Corey's brother and his wife)-- their little baby daughter was born today at 1:14pm. Natalie started getting contractions Friday night and we all thought for sure we'd get a 3am phone call that she'd given birth but she ended up waiting until Saturday night to finally go to the hospital (too many things to take care of first! what a trooper that girl is!). After another restless night of stronger contractions, she was more than ready to see her baby girl's face-- and what a delight she is! Beautiful soft petal pink skin... just a sweet little doll!Lucky us, we were in town visiting them for La Fiesta (Santa Barbara's celebration of the Old Spanish Days-- parades and festivals for 4 days straight). Corey got to meet his very own niece-- now he's a "true" uncle, and not just married into the title.
Ashlin is James' only cousin on Corey's side (well, first cousin that is... Cambria and James are second cousins-- James has 10 cousins on my side of the family and about a bazillion second cousins too).
Congrats Kevin & Natalie! Welcome to parenthood!
