Mama's boy

Well, it's official, James' 1st word is "mama"! Yay for me :-) He's been babbling it for a couple weeks now but I didn't want to get my hopes up that he actually knew what it meant. Of course, I will admit he's not always calling for me-- sometimes it just means "pick me up and hold me", other times it means "I'm done sleeping come get me", and I suspect sometimes is also means "I'm hungry!" (strong tie between mama and breastfeeding, hmm?). The word varies at times as "mamamama", "mommee", "emma", and "memma". We keep trying to teach him "daddy" but so far it's only mama for my little boy-- very cute to hear him calling for me on the monitor these days.... warms my heart :-)
